Wife likes it.

It feels like a quality built blender. My wife says she wished it had the ability to stay on without have to hold down the button. Clean up is super easy. A quick disconnect of the attachment and your done. As for blending it does a very good job. I would recommend this unit.

Returned after 2 days

Well, I have to say I didn't expect to be disappointed by this hand blender as much as I was. I bought it on the recommendation of Cook's Illustrated as it was the winner of their immersion blender test and review. It seems reasonably well constructed, with several caveats such as the multiple gearboxes that need special cleaning etc. such as don't wet this, don't dishwash that. By far the reason that I had to return it was that when used on Speed 1 it creates a vibration that is very unpleasant to one's arm while being used. The Speed 2 button requires extra pressure to keep it pressed, which means more squeezing while operating it. Again, that is a poor ergonomic decision on Braun's part. It's not much of an issue if you use the blender a couple of times a week for a few seconds. However, for cooks like me who use a hand blender at least twice a day for a few minutes it causes very uncomfortable feelings of soreness in the forearm muscles. In summary, you're damned if you use it for longer periods of time on Speed 1 because of extra vibration, and you're damned if you use it on Speed 2 because you have to squeeze the dear life of the button to keep it operating. I've learned my lesson on trusting Cook's Illustrated reviews blindly. As a result I've returned this blender and I've ordered a Bamix GastroPro 2 despite the almost four-times higher price. I'll be posting a review of it as well as soon as I receive it.

Weak

My 450W version of this blender finally broke after many years. It was a beast. This is a very weak imitation of the same blender. How far they have fallen. A poor substitute.

Good power, so-so plastics

Well pleased with the power of the wand, but find that the chopping blade and its container very flimsy. The same with the cup.

I had to replace this twice because it arrived missing a part and the second time a part was broken. Amazon was very helpful and in the end I got all parts in working order. I love the chop feature

Love this blender. I use it a lot from making my protein drinks to making souses, salads. Easy to use and easy to clean.
