Pfister 972-101B Review

This popup drain came yesterday as promised. This morning I removed the Delta Popup that I could never get to seal after several attempts over the course of a week. I installed and tested within approximately 20 minutes. I used teflon thread tape on the drain pipe and compression threads before installation. I'm not sure that the tape was needed on the compression threads as the friction washer made tightening the unit to the sink a breeze. I am pleased with quality and ease of the "no leak" installation. I highly recommend this product and vendor.

Pop up

Only issue was the tail piece was not firmly attached to pop up. Took me a little bit to figure out that my "leak" was actually from there. Gave it a simple hand tighten and everything was perfect

Amazing!

All my life I have hated pivot rods on bathroom sinks. This so simply solves all that hassle! Why is any bathroom faucet still sold with a pivot rod??? This is a heavy duty metal piece and seems very well made. I love it!

must use putty and seal tape to seal joints of pipes

Without seal tape and putty, pop-up drain will leak when sink holds water and stopper is in locking position. It took me 2nd try with seal tapes and putty, the water leaks in joints of pop-up drain assembly are fixed.
