Light use...didn't hold up

Less than a year of easy use on tack strip for carpet application on concrete. Well maintained. Take pride in my equipment and work. One of the 3 teeth refuses to engage to hold the bit even with alternating tightening technique. I assume this is about the lightest hammer drilling this chuck would encounter......

Well engineered; machining flawless

So, after my keyless SDS+ chuck failed after intermittent 2-year use (the tightening ring came off), I decided that I should go back to a conventional, keyed chuck as a replacement. I have used this new chuck several times since purchasing it and the chuck tightens down well on my largest masonry bits.

Engineering and construction are both flawless. This is what an SDS to straight shank adapter should be. The chuck locks so it can't come loose by accident, it has carbide teeth and the shaft slides through the body such that it can hammer directly on the bit so some of the performance of the SDS system is preserved.
