Good lid, just didn't fit on my can. Only for Rubbermaid commercial I guess.

Very well made and heavy duty trash lid

We had open garbage cans on the front steps of our community dinner dining hall. It attracted squirrels and looked awful. But $75 for a garbage lid seemed like a lot to spend for a 501c3. Amazon Warehouse had a couple of these at about 60% of the full price, so I snatched them up, and I'm glad I did. They firmly snap onto the 44-gallon Brute cans and aren't going anywhere. The swinging doors on them close tightly and look and feel as though they're going to continue doing that for years. Any odors that may be percolating in the can during the summer will be trapped. The appearance is much more inviting and professional as our guests, volunteers and donors walk up the steps. Great buy!

Great for Park!

We use these in a park to keep animals out of the trash and they work great! There is a cheaper alternative out there that's equally as great. Does have a tight fit and can be hard to take on and off, but works great.

Packaging Improvements

The product is as expected and a fair price for the market. It also arrived quickly. What I recommend is improving the box it's shipped in. Mine arrived with a 3" crack in the top. No tear in the box, but you can see where the box took a hit in that location. Box needs to be sturdier. Given the location of ours, I'm keeping it, but next time might pick one up locally to avoid getting one that's damaged.

Fits my Wal-Mart brand 32 gallon trash can well. It's very sturdy and is perfect for my garage trash can. Sping for flap is great.

Worked for a different application...

I used this lid to replace a lost lid on a pre-cast concrete garbage receptacle that was 24" outside diameter. I had to shave off a few spots to make it fit properly and cut a few slots to fabricate a retaining system but overall my customer is very satisfied with the end result and at less than 1/2 the price the original pre-cast fabricator was going to charge for a similar lid.
