Travels for work

I love Janome machines, so when I got work traveling to alter professional costumes, I needed a lightweight machine, power, and a variety of useful stitches. This one checks all the boxes. It’s a bit longer than I’d like for packing, but it is a great machine. The presser foot lift DOES go higher, but mine needed extra encouragement. I really need that extra space to slide fabric under. And lowering the feed dogs is right there in the front. Makes sewing on giant snaps a … snap! If you’re new/giving as a gift you will not go wrong for the price.

Easy and quiet

This is a great machine. I am replacing my brother with it and am excited to see again. I had many issues with my Brother catching thread getting jammed on heavy and lightweight fabrics just frustrating to continue using it. I saw this Janome and it fit the budget perfectly. It’s quiet smooth and can go from layers of denim to jersey with no problems at all. I quilt but I also make tiny doll clothing so neat stitching is a must. Got helos iris thread to go in the machine. Happy.

Update

My apologies to Janome. A rep called me this week and had the gift receiver call them directly. They were able to help her find the parts that were in the machine case. She’s excited to start using the machine! Thank you Janome for following thru! Gave this as a gift and the sewing feet and 11 accessories are missing. The receiver just opened it to set up and saw that these were missing. So the machine won’t work. Manufacture said contact Amazon and Amazon said contact manufacturer. So the machine is useless.

Meander stitch too short.

Meander stitch #16 has a max width of 5.0 and length of 2.5. Too short for my intended use for quilting. These numbers were not included in description so regrettably I had to return. Lightweight for travel, easy to learn and use, and a great overall little machine.

Weighing in at 11 pounds is Janome 805 and it is perfect for what I was looking for.

This Janome is perfect for what I was looking for. Only 11 pounds is is easy to move from one place to another. I needed something small for camper but sturdy and well made. Janome 805 fits this category. I used it for the first time today and was impressed with speed and accuracy. Easy to thread and has many options that usually only the larger machines possess. Janome is awesome made and has a good reputation. This is a very nice machine.

Great sewing machine

My sewing machine finally broke down and I was on the search for a replacement. I’ve always had Singer machines, but my neighbor recommended the Janome. The price is reasonable and it is perfect and exactly what I need for the amount and type of sewing I do. The choice of decorative stitches is sufficient. The machine is light weight and is much quieter than my old one. I would definitely recommend this machine.
