Won't break when you forget to bring it in when it freezes!

I have been looking for something like this for a long time and finally found exactly what I wanted. Very easy to ready, won't crack from freezing and easy to install. I do wish it had a double hook hanger on the back. It only has one and does not stay upright. I had to put screws in either side of it on the fence to keep it steady. I couldn't put it in the ground because my dog won't leave it alone. Just a deign wish on my part, but not a deal-breaker.

Silicone rain gauge should last longer.

I had previously purchased glass rain gauges that broke from too much wind. This one make from silicone and measurements are large enough to see clearly. Now just waiting for it to rain ..

It really does resist breaking

As a way to measure rainfall and to decide how long to water plants, this is a handy device. It has so far withstood freezing temperatures on just a couple of nights, it did not crack though it contained rainwater. The real test will come next fall, when temperatures frequently sink below freezing, a test all the rain gauges I've tried before have failed.

It’s Flexible

I really like the fact that this is made out of a flexible material. My previous gauge was made out of hard plastic and it cracked during freezing temps. I was able to put it up on my wood fence pretty easy, but it would be nice to have a simple metal bracket included for this method of installation. I can probably fabricate something myself. I still think this is a great gauge.

Great Gauge

I've been buying these for years! Love them! They are really easy to read, and easy to empty. The only reason I've had to replace them is I forget to empty before a freeze, then they crack.

Better than expected

This seemed to be priced a bit high but decided to order and give it a try. It is very high quality, easy to pull-up out of the holder and read or even just read it in-place considering the large numbers. If it holds-up ok in the hot Carolina sun this summer it will certainly have been worth the price.
