Another Great camera from Tapo

I bought the 2 pack Tapo security camera last month as a upgrade from a similar camera. On my review of that order, I noted that I planned to expand my system with more cameras in the future . About a month has gone by and my feelings for this system are still the same. I added this OUTDOOR camera to replace an older camera on my driveway. The COLOR night time view literally blew me away. At first , I started getting too many false alerts picking up cars on the road. I then made a "BOX" for the motion sensing that didn't include the road...Boom..No more false alerts.. I did notice if I enable the " AI "mode for vehicles..It still picks up the cars that I didn't include in my motion area I chose...it seems Like it overrides the box and looks at the whole screen. This was easily fixed by disabling the AI for AUTOs. Setup was a breeze , just adding it to my other 2 Tapo cameras . Details are clear and I can easily read a license plate anywhere in my driveway. Alerts are sent almost instantly , and I will probably activate the free trial on this camera for offline storage. Remember to buy the 256 gb SD card when you buy these cameras. 2 screws must be removed to put the SD card in , and they are tiny tiny screws. Once you insert the card , you will be good to go. The software will format the card , and you can choose 24/7 recording , or motion activated recording. Record the motion clips that you want , save them to memory , then go to memory and you can view , download , or delete the clips to your phone. You can do all of this without a subscription. It's a great addition to my security system , and I plan to add the Battery Powered cameras in time so I can view my backyard . Tapo has proven to be a great family of security cameras for all situations. Whether it a baby monitor , outdoor , wireless , battery powered, or motion tracking , this collection is great and all work together with one well written ,easy to use app. Keep up the great work Tapo !

I replaced a different brand with this because it was a 2K. I have a Tapo PTZ for indoors which is 2K and loved the clarity. This one is VERY sensitive; I haven't tried finding the settings for that yet. Clip is still fairly clear even after zooming in. The camera is not huge and, in your face, making it sort of inconspicuous which I like. The Ethernet cable is unused so I bought silicone plugs on Amazon and cut the stop trim off one and pushed it all the way into the plug then put another one in (with the stop trim still on) on top of that to make it waterproof. You can see it in the photo, it is the blue at the end of the cord. Would recommend this camera.

Good value

I use the Surveillance Station on a Synology NAS with 6 cameras, so this is hardly my first camera setup. I bought this to replace a camera to replace an old one that had the IR bulbs quit working. It connected to Wifi right away. The picture quality is very good as is the Wifi signal quality. Motion detection works (though is subject to false notifications from lights and shadows, as is pretty much very camera that I've tried). The notifications are relatively fast. The notifications do not include images at all. I assumed this would be resolved with an SD card, but no, you have to subscribe to their premium plan to get them. This seems a money grab to me. I also had some trouble assigning a static IP from my router. The camera would not pick it up, through a number of reboots and power cycling. Finally, I performed a reset on the camera and set it up from scratch, and after it picked up the IP. Painful, but OK. There are better cameras available, but not at this price point.

No compatible con Alexa en México.

Que mala compra hice, no puedo configurar las cámaras con Alexa, la tengo instalada y la detecta, pero no muestra el video, indica: Video en vivo no compatible. Me siento engañado y compre 3 pzas. Si no obtengo ayuda para resolver este inconve iente, voy a regresar las 3 cámaras. Buenas noches.

Buena cámara para vigilancia en general

En diciembre del 2021 compré 3 cámaras C310 Tapo. Esta es mi experiencia con ellas a febrero 2022. Pros: -Facil de instalar, yo mismo lo hice con un taladro y un desarmador. -Fácil de configurar, se conecta usando la app y es fácil y rápido, una vez instalada, en 3 minutos ya la tenía enviando imágenes al celular. -Tiene opción de usar wireless o cable eternet para conectarse a Internet. -Tiene forma de configurar áreas de detección por zonas o líneas, también puedes configurar las alarmas y las horas de grabación. -Por 10 dlls mensuales puedes pagar el servicio de almacenamiento en la nube y cubre hasta 10 cámaras. Ideal si deseas tener registros de todas tus cámaras en caso de que estas sean destruidas por intrusos. -Los materiales con los que está construido son de calidad y resistentes a la interperie. Contras: -La cámara solo se puede administrar y ver las imágenes por celular. Si quieres verlas en tu laptop, la alternativa rápida y fácil es instalar bluestacks (emulador Android) y desde allí instalas la app de Tapo. Así lo hice y funciona. -La verdad estoy un poco decepcionado con la resolución en modo zoom. Tengo una cámara fuera de la casa y escasos 8 metros de la cámara tengo estacionado un auto y no es posible leer la placa a plena luz del día a pesar de tener activada la resolución de 3MP. La imagen en general es buena, pero el zoom es un asco. Asi que tenerlo en 3MP o HD es exactamente lo mismo: no sirve para el zoom y si te consume más espacio en la SDCard si está en resolución máxima. -Las alarmas sonoras y visuales son un asco, son débiles tanto en audio como en lo visual y más que disuadir, solo avisan a los intrusos que detectó movimiento, asi que ambas alarmas las tuve que desactivar, son una pena. Resumen: Las cámaras no son perfectas, pero cumplen con su función básica de vigilar áreas en general, registrar las imágenes con resolución decentes (siempre y cuando no se le exija ver detalles en modo zoom), lanzar alarmas al celular mediante su app nativa y está construido con materiales de calidad. Por el precio (aprox $55 dlls) no se puede exigir más.

Funcionalidad excelente

Muy satisfecho con la compra a pesar de ver algunas personas que tienen fallas o solo pueden verlas desde su misma red yo no tube problema alguno, y la instalación adecuada, solo me causo ruido la entrada ethernet pues tuve que hacer más grande el orificio de la caja Nema excelente compra puse 3 de estás y una c200*

Excelente producto por tu dinero

Me encanta la calidad de la imagen y cuando entras a ver las cámaras, carga relativamente rápido. Además qué el ángulo de visión es muy bueno y la captación de luz también. Las opciones que ofrece la aplicación son muy buenas, con una memoria de 128 Gb graba casi un mes. Además puede poder el modo mosaico si tienes varias cámaras Tapo, yo tengo 4, tres afuera de este modelo y una que es de interior. La recomiendo ampliamente.

Excelente para exteriores

Cuestiones necesarias a saber sobre la cámara: La cámara es fija, no se puede mover como otras cámaras de la misma marca. Su calidad de vídeo es excelente excepto cuando haces zoom por qué se pixelea. Tiene buen alcance con su detención de movimientos PERO si la tienes en un lugar concurrido te va a mandar muchas notificaciones de detección de movimiento al celular. Es excelente para exteriores, yo la tengo en una pared y con las lluvias y el sol no se ha descompuesto PERO aveces me detecta las gotas de lluvia como una intrusión en zona. El cable no es muy largo por lo que para exteriores vas a necesitar una extensión. Increíblemente fácil de instalar y conectar por medio de su aplicación, aún no conozco todas sus funciones pero no me arrepiento. Su precio se me hace un poco elevado pero se ve que aguanta bien. SUPER RECOMENDADA
