It is a small simple still

Well, I like it. I allegedly ran larger home-made stills in the deep past (statute of limitations past by half a century), and this one is a breeze compared to them. I washed it out good, although it was visibly very clean. I got the three gallon model, with no thumper because in my old age this one will be used to make essential oils and hydrosols. I did a vinegar run, and allegedly ran a bottle of cheap vodka dispersed in a gallon of water through it, just to see if I still knew how, and to kill any residual thermophile microbes in the lower part of the condenser. In all cases it ran like a champ. The thermometer read steady 205 for water, but I do live at higher altitude. It didn't leak, the fittings all fit, the little submersible pump ran fine, although I will probably just run creek water through it. Ice and buckets are just too much trouble. There were no dents or dings. Now all I need is a screen rack for the plant material, a separating funnel, and for the sweetbuds to bloom. My wife likes all those sweet-smelling things, and I get to run a still without going to jail. Win-win for an old southern Appalachian retiree like me. I give it five stars on simplicity, compactness, price, and ease of use. Great for someone who just piddles around like me.

Not the best / for the price /

Thick steel pot / can you take over an hour to come to boiling temperature @200 ℉ on a glass cooktop/ Will try coil and fire./ But seems like a waste of gas/// On top of that .. / If your fruit or yeast burn And you smoke your pipes.. Be prepared to get some pipe cleaner with it and .. Make sure you don’t sexually inside of the pipe foods that you have flakes of metal.. I would suggest some micro strainers as well .. Not happy ./ for the same price you can get a pressure cooker pot n pole holes .. :( It’s cute though.. If you like it get it.!!

Perfect for a Beginner Distiller

Great setup for a beginner just starting out and doesn't have much knowledge on thumper kegs. Easy to set up and run. Most people will say the condenser is too small and overflows but they just don't know how to properly use it. Just put the setting on the submersible pump to low and open the outlet valve fully and the inlet a little less than fully open and it should never overflow at all. It takes a bit of tinkering to figure out the sweet spot of the valves. Instruction booklet also has some pretty good recipes in it as well. Not too good of detail in some pictures beings they are kind of hard to see due to the poor image quality but has detailed instructions written step by step. But for the price it is you can't go wrong with it. Perfect gift for a knew hobbyist starting out the art of distilling.

Great product, after customer support not so great.

Product works just as it should. Easy to assemble. I made a few small modifications of my own, works excellent. The only reason that I Didn’t give it five stars, is Because I tried to contact the manufacture to order a Thumper keg unit separately. And got no response. I mistakenly ordered The model without the tumper and did not want to send the whole unit back. I was hoping I could just purchase the thumper separately. The unit still functions great but as I get into the hobby more I will definitely have to add a thumper at some point.

Almost a perfect starter still

The still worked great. Pot works to make mash as well as distillation. There were 2 small problems. The first is that the rubber hoses for the worm come loose easily. Had to purchase clamps after the first run. I also had to make a new worm. The one provided only has two coils and the water wouldn't keep it cold enough. But I was able to use all the previous hardware from the worm to build a new one.
