Cast Iron Piece to add to a Grill Master's Inventory
It's a simple basic basting pot but will last forever and is great for placing near the heat in your grill. I use it for my melted butter & spices basting sauce. It's cast iron so you simply wipe it thoroughly after use. Oh yeah... use a pot holder when using this cast iron HOT son-of-a-gun.

Great for tempering Indian dishes with the five spice seeds (Panch Phoron)
Small - just right size. I like the small bottom of this "funnel-shaped" pan because it can hold a little oil high enough to submerge spices for tempering. Cast iron is great. Just use a paper towel or sponge w/ soap to clean and rinse with water. No dish washer and no scouring. Other items don't have a narrow bottom. This one does.

Excellent Pot
This small sauce pot is great for melting butter, which is what I mostly use it for. Because it's cast iron, it's weighty and sure to heat or melt any sauces, cheeses, etc. evenly. The bonus is, after I'm done melting butter, I rinse it with hot water and lightly dry it with a sponge or paper towel. The butter leaves a light coat and shine on it, therefore, it's always seasoned and ready for use each time. Tips: I found that when cleaning cast iron, baking soda works very well without stripping the coating. Never use steel or metal scrubbers on it. The cast iron scrub brushes work best, but stuck on foods should be soaked with a baking soda and water paste until loose, and then scrubbed out with the brush or a plastic scrub pad. I do not recommend using dish soap because it strips the coating. Hope this helps new cast iron users.

Good quality but small
Quality is 4.5 star, but a bit too small for my liking but kept it and use as a mortar too. So, a bit more versatile

This is a very good pan, and works perfectly with induction stove or in the oven. The only negative side is the handle gets really hot.
