Sags even with light use

This has held up well in the summer sun, but the little loop they give you underneath the housing to hook your cable through so it doesn't sag is not sufficient in the least. I have this on my patio, where it's only using about half the advertised length, and when I cover it with regular summer-weight close it sags severely. My solution has been to double loop the cable through the hook and then manually retract it so it's closer to taught, but it's a hassle. This product really needs a few more loops on the bottom or a stopper of some kind.

functional with a little effort

It works, but I had to double loop (maybe triple) the line around the underside plastic "hook" to maintain a tight clothes line. Once around slips right off. A surface with some friction would be helpful. Hope it last 20 years like the last one.

This line will not stay tight. Even when wrapped the line still retracts and your laundry is on the ground. I have moved it 3 times to get it it tighter and it still sags on the ground.

Will not properly tension, requires more effort than worth.

There’s is absolutely no way to make this thing have enough tension to be able to use it successfully and without a large amount of effort. The product itself seems ok, decently made, and probably would be fine in an indoor laundry room situation but as a clothesline for outside it just doesn’t work at all. I purchased this so I could have a clothesline but not worry about my kids getting injured on it. Kinda useless when I have to prop it up, and these comforters were barely damp because they had already been in the dryer. Save yourself the money and the headache.

Garbage product

This product is absolute garbage. Unless you plan to only dry four pairs of small underwear save your money. Tension is garbage. Honestly what a waste of time and money! Might return this once hubby takes this junk down.
