The product evolves, but the Amazon photo stays the same.
I've ordered this headlight four times; it has evolved, but the Amazon photo still shows the first one I received. Top Left: oldest; 5 medium-bright LEDs, 2 power levels. Good for close (up to a few feet) work. Top Middle: next: one super-bright LED in a polished reflector. 2 power levels. Throws a long, focused beam good for a night hike. Uncomfortably bright for close work. Top Right: The latest incarnation, what I received the last two times I ordered. One super-bright LED with a crinkle-finish reflector. Makes a central spot with dimmer light around it. On high, good for night walking; on low, good for close work. The over-head strap is eliminated and the around-the-head strap is make wider. Best version yet; I hope they leave it this way. Yellow button identifies this model but that's not shown in Amazon's illustration. This one received Sept '21 Bottom: as packaged. This one received July '22. Thought I had lost my light, but found it before this was delivered. Day-to-day, I power mine with 3 rechargeable (NiMH) AAAs. I keep a stash of alkaline AAAs in case of prolonged power failure. The battery compartment is a bit hard to open and close until you get the hang of it. I use my new one on home projects and (volunteer) work projects a lot; I don't even carry a regular flashlight.

Did not have the top strap as shown in the picture
I was quite disappointed when the product arrived and there was no top strap, as shown in the picture of the product. I bought this lamp because I wanted the top strap! Don't show pictures of things that are not being sold!

Handy little gadget to keep hands free when doing a project. Amazon needs to update a new picture in the product description. The one I received today is not the 'same packaging' as shown on the product page. Otherwise, it works great.

Low price, VERY bright! (100 lumens)
Love the brightness, the price, and the simplicity -- just two clicks and two brightness settings, no gimmicky flashing or colored lights. I have high hopes this may last a long time. The battery case was way too hard to pry open, though.

Solid little unit. Quality LED
I have become quite fond of this light. It's a gem for ~$10. I mostly use this for installing bus advertisement cards in the middle of the night - walking into pitch black buses lit with only the ambient outside parking lot lights. I also use this light when working on my car at home, or any other times a flash light is needed. I use this light with rechargeable batteries. I think this unit is far superior to cheaper ones like the Mitaki design. -The batteries plug firmly, and directly into the unit, and not some weak spring loaded barrel. -The LEDs are much higher quality – the light is whiter and far brighter. (even with rechargeable batteries, the light is still very bright) -The unit feels solid. The plastic is dense and compact. It has hard rubber trim around the circle of LEDs. The button has the same hard rubber, and has definitive click to it. -The back cover is a little tough to remove, but that might be a good thing. -It rotates firmly by ratchet like grooves, and stays in place quite well. -Two modes: first click is full bright, second click is half brightness. If you are considering those cheaper lights, I would spend the extra couple bucks and get this one instead. It is worth it for the quality of LEDs, and fit and feel of the item. I would not hesitate buying this light again if I needed to.

Excellent Choice
I am happy with this headlamp. It is bright, and the angle adjustment works well. Unlike some cheapy headlamps, the angle adjustment holds this one in place securely, e.g., it does not move around every time you move your head. I also like the high and low beam feature. The low beam is sufficiently bright for most of the applications for which I use it (mechanical, plumbing, and other DIY projects where a light on the work surface can be helpful). All in all, this headlamp seems like a good value for the price, and I will probably buy another one at some point.

A Good Value
This is not the most expensive headlight, but it does the job. I have been reluctant to buy a headlight of any kind because I think a person looks silly wearing one. Well, that was a lesson learned. These things are a life saver when working in tight dark places. Who cares how dumb it looks to have a flashlight stuck on one's head if it can end the fight with an ordinary flashlight. The Rayovac headlight comes with 3 AA batteries and both a head strap and a harness to attach the light to a hardhat. The light is well made, provides a wide bright beam and there is a handy switch with high/low settings. The light is supposed to indestructible. It looks like that might be true, but I haven't tried to break it--yet. Suffice to say, this light is well made and should take some knocks and bumps. The battery life is quite good and should last through almost any day of work under the car or installing a garbage disposer. I suppose the headlight would be great for exploring a cave or looking for night crawler worms.

Long-lasting; good value
I was glad to find this head-light on line, as I had used one for years, and liked it better than other, more expensive, brands. Light is easy to beam downwards or forwards, and stays there. Switch is easy to find in the dark, rubber cover doesn't wear out quickly. Light is SIMPLE: High, Low, Off. (No flashing, no red, no need to push multiple times....) Three-piece strap stays well on the head (doesn't slip down to bash you on the bridge of the nose). Problem: one of mine was sewn wrongly, and I have had to cut and resew the straps. Pretty easy to change batteries (I use rechargeables, and change batteries often). Light survives most falls onto the floor, although tiny plastic tabs may break off after several falls.

My poor review score is due to the product "causing risk of exposure to cancer causing chemicals, including DEHP". A sticker indicating this was on the package. I did not open it, and will be returning it. This disclosure should be made in the product description !
